Submission Arena ("we", "us") operates this platform to organize submission-only grappling leagues and matches. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us via the email listed on our How It Works page or through your league admin.
When you create an account, we collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo, provided by Google when you sign in.
- Athlete profile: first and last name, date of birth, gender, belt rank, weight class, country of residence, nationality, city, team/academy, and a contact email you provide (which may differ from your login email).
- Competitive activity: leagues you join, invitations, scheduled matches, submitted results, video links you provide as evidence, and any disputes or notes related to them.
We use this information to:
- Operate your account and let you compete in leagues appropriate to your division.
- Match you with eligible opponents and let them contact you to arrange matches.
- Maintain accurate standings and match history.
- Allow administrators to review disputes and moderate the platform.
- Your name, belt, country, and match record are visible to other signed-in athletes in leagues you've joined.
- Your contact email is visible to other athletes in leagues you're a member of, so they can arrange matches with you.
- Platform administrators can see your full profile to manage disputes, league status, and account issues.
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the site securely. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you deactivate your account, we retain it for 30 days in case you change your mind, after which it is permanently deleted unless you reactivate. If you delete your account, we remove your personal details immediately; certain match history (result, opponent, points) is retained in an anonymized form to preserve the accuracy of other athletes' records and league standings.
You can, at any time:
- View and edit your profile information from your Profile page.
- Deactivate your account temporarily, or delete it permanently, from your Profile page.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us questions about how it's used, by contacting us.
If you believe we've handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll post an update here and note the date at the top of the page.
